How do you get rid of folliculitis scars?

I've been getting folliculitis in my public areas and I've been getting them for a while. I went to the doctor and I got some cream and antibiotics. It didn't really do anything. I still keep getting them and the worst part is the bad ones leave scars that aren't going away. Does anyone know how to make them go away or make them less visible?
