B&N Nook spazzing out when loading?

I just got the all new Nook and when it loads, it looks very sloppy. The black and white invert and the picture blinks and goes crazy and then comes up with the new page. I dont know whether or not this is a problem with my nook, my internet connection, or its just hows the Nook works. Thanks for any help
